The 49ers traded with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire the 31st overall pick in exchange for pick Nos. 34 (second round) and 111 (fourth round).
San Francisco used the selection on Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster. The prototype linebacker entered the draft as one of the top defensive prospects in his class.
